Content of the lesson
This lesson defines poverty at individual and national level and identifies different factors that contribute to
poverty and describes how poverty affects people's lives.
In its second part, the lesson introduces poverty indicators and critically discusses their implication for poverty
and informs about the main poverty reduction strategies.
